dc.description.abstract Every current technology is having beneficial positive as well as undesirable deleterious effects. This research was carried out to emphasize the health impacts on human beings due to electromagnetic radiation radiated from telecommunication base stations located in six places of Ampara, Eastern Town of Sri Lanka. For this research, areas, where people stay close to the telecommunication base stations, have been divided equally into six different zones. Bandwidth measurements and questionnaires used to gather information from the people of the different zones revealed that people who lived in the nearest zones were liable to have some potential health impacts, such as sleeping disorder, headache, depression, loss of memory, skin problem, visual and hearing disruption, cardiovascular issue [1]. Furthermore, from the feedback of the questionnaire, it was identified that the people had some form of physical or mental illness after the installation of the telecommunication base stations. It is concluded that the levels of symptoms of health impacts depended on distance between the people's residence from the telecommunication base stations and the length of the period of their stay in the residences en_US
