Abstract: This paper examines some aspect of wheat production in Ringim Local Government Area of Jigawa State. Structured questionnaire was used for data collection from fifty (50) randomly selected respondents. Descriptive statistics, farm budgeting and production model were used for analyzing the collected data. The research result showed that gross margin of N23.00/kg, with a net income of N20.94. Wheat production constraints identified in the study area include inappropriate farmers management practice, soil degradation, pest and diseases incidence, higher inputs cost and limited access to farm credits, poor seed quality and lack of extension and research support. However, to reap the benefits of wheat production in the study area, cost of inputs should be reduced through provision of subsidies and credit facilities. Effective management practices and support from well trained extension personnel’s need to be fully encouraged.
